About this station
Operating for over 200 years, Redcar is one of the oldest lifeboat stations and the first lifeboat built by Henry Greathead, the Zetland, was placed on service there. The lifeboat crews have been presented with over 10 awards for gallantry.

The Redcar Atlantic 75 class lifeboat "Leicester Challenge 2" paid a visit to 1940's Dunkirk - without leaving sight of the lifeboat station!
